Gravestone of Charles Howard Sellmer
A close-up of a white and grey gravestone which reads “Charles Howard Infant son of Lt. [Lieutenant] Charles & Marion Sellmer Born April 24th 1872 Died June 15th 1872.”
The son of the ordinance sergeant of Fort Pulaski, young Charles Howard Sellmer was only three months old when he died and was buried in the cemetery on Cockspur Island.
