Bright angel lodge. Southeast view of powell lodge this building of twenty-five fooms is designed to look like a group of small houses. While an air of western primitiveness is given the exterior of this building, and its furnishings, like that of the other lodges and cabins, are in keeping with the whole plan of extreme simplicity and unpretentiousness, yet nothing in the way of modern comforts has been omitted. Every room has hot and cold running water; about fifty percent have private bathrooms; mattresses, blankets and linen are of the choicest and the charm of unusual color and materials in walls, furniture, draperies and rugs add much interest to the whole. Circa 1932. Nps.
