Miyozo and Matsuye Shikuzawa, my paternal grandparents are pictured at the front of this queue at the JACL hall on Bush St. My grandmother, Matsuye, is the first woman wearing a light-colored hat & coat. My grandfather, Miyozo, has only his face visible as the first man on the 'inside' of the line. The family home was nearby on Bush St., and in addition to themselves, comprised my father, Kiyoshi, his sister, Yoshiko, and younger brother, Jimmy. Initially, relocated to Tanforan, they were interned at Topaz, UT, and later sent to Tule Lake.
