The Cass County Underground Railroad “Wax Museum in a Box” is owned and managed by Underground Railroad Society of Cass County based in Vandalia, Michigan. The “Wax Museum in a Box” is an educational program through which fifth graders from Sam Adams Elementary School learn about the Underground Railroad through local history. The culmination of the program is an annual performance in which students portray a figure that they have researched, enabling the struggle against slavery to come alive for visitors to the Bonine House.
