The USS Arizona (BB-39) was a US Navy battleship stationed at Pearl Harbor on Dec 7, 1941. Built in the 1910s, she was commissioned in 1916 and later transferred to the Pacific Fleet. The USS Arizona was bombed in the first few minutes of the Pearl Harbor attack. She exploded and sank, killing 1,177 officers and crewmen.
