A watercolor painting of a viewer's perspective of a section of Lehman Caves. Many cave formations dominate the image, particularly a golden colored column rising from the bottom to the top of the image. Scattered around are various other formations, tan & gold, some rising from the floor, almost cake shaped with their various tiers. Others hang more like spikes from the top of the image, what they're attached to not immediately viewable. Between some formations is a bright white light, contrasting hard with the otherwise muted tans and pinks, and apparently the cause of the gold tint on some formations. Its source is hidden by a formation, but the wall and formations behind are basked in gold and white.
"Lehman Cave 1," watercolor, Suze Woolf, 2024. Donated to the Great Basin National Park Foundation.
Suze's depiction of a scene within Lehman Caves. Notable cave formations include stalactites (from the ceiling), stalagmites (from the ground), and columns.
