The tree dominates the image with its many branches, height, and boughs of needles. It stands out of snow, some covering its bottom. This tree stands in a grove of these, surrounded by others which are not a main focus of the photo. The sky above adds the final layer, a gradient from a purple/pink on the horizon to a deep, dark blue above. Nearly everywhere in the sky specks of white are visible, stars shining through the twilight.
