Santa Barbara, California,' and the number assigned to the image, "No. E-5437."

The woman is wearing a white sweater with a floral dress. She also has her hair up with a headband and clips. Around her neck is a necklace and a fabric lei. She is wearing strappy flat sandals. She also has her right hand in the pocket of her dress and has her left hand resting on the entrance sign. The sign is located on the right side of the road. The sign reads, “Entering Hawaii National Park, Haleakala Section.” The sign is also sitting on a rock wall. To the right of the entrance sign is the National Park Service Arrowhead logo with a boulder behind it. The ground that the sign is on is rocky and made of dirt. To the far left of the image is the road that leads into the park. Along the left side of the road there is grass and trees in the distance.
