The back of the picture with the woman standing next to the entrance sign that leads into the Haleakalā section of Hawaii National Park. The back of the image has text that reads, “E-5437 Hawaii. Isle of Maui. Approach to Hawaii National Park on Maui. The park, containing 275, square miles is in two sections. This one, the Haleakalā Section contains one of the world’s largest dormant volcanoes. Called “The House of the Sun,” in the Hawaiian language, has been quiet for several hundred years.” At the bottom, it has the photographer's name, “Josef Muench,” where the image was produced, “Pictorial Photography, 839 Mission Canyon Road. Santa Barbara, California,' and the number assigned to the image, "No. E-5437."
