Tuskegee Airmen had to fight two wars, Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site, 1944.
On May 6, 1944 the 477th Bonbardment Group, Medium, arrived at Godman Field, Kentucky. Unlike the situation at Selfridge, black officers of the group were allowed to use the base officer's club. However, white officers used another officer's club at neighboring Fort Knox.
