Monument erected by private individuals & some of Stonewall Jackson's troops to comemerate spot where Jackson fell, wounded by his own troops May 2, 1863. Situated in the Chancellorsville Battlefield. || 2 part stepped base of rough-cut, coursed stone & tooled edges, 7'sq at bottom. Shaft of rough-cut, coursed stone & tooled edges, 5'sq tapering to 3'6", w/ polished inscribed faces on 4 sides. Cap: ogee & pryamid. Overall 14'H.
