Transcribed document reads: [stamp] MAR 20 1911 [note] F C 335 (K) 9, O’clock A. M. [note] [illegible Before the Guthrie Land Office [note] Hennessey State of Oklahoma [note] [illegible] 95 [note] [underline] [stamp] 125818 [note] State of Okla } [note] County of Kingfisher } Petition. Comes now George [note]L Greer, Jr., of the County and State aforesaid, of legal age, and being first duly sworn, on his oath deposes and says that he is the son of George Greer Sr., who filed on and proved up the northwest Quarter of Section 14, Township 19, Range 8, W. I. M., in the Township of Lacey, County and State aforesaid. Affiant further says that the George Gray to whom a U. S. patent was issued [note] [previous aforesaid], is the same identical George Greer, aforesaid; that the name George Gray appearing in the said Patent of the said Northwest Quarter of Section 14, Township 19, Range 8, W. I. M. is an error and that the said name should be George Greer; that this last mentioned name was the homesteader’s true and real name. Affiant therefore asks that a New Patent may issue to the said George Greer Sr, (now deceased) in his true and real name, and that the recorded of the land office may be amended so as to show that the person to whom patent was issued for the above described quarter section was George Greer and not George Gray, as is shown by the patent now in the possession of the heirs of the said George Greer Sr. And your petitioner will ever pray etc.; [signature] G L Greer Jr Subscribed in my presence and sworn to before me this the 18 day of March, A.
