Exactly 100 years to the date passed between these photos, taken on March 11th, 1908 and 2008. Although it may be difficult to discern vegetation change between these two winter images, this photo pair is a good opportunity to marvel at how similar these photos are given the changes that occurred around the country over this time period. Over the period captured by two images multiple world wars occurred, political and economic systems developed, Alaska became a state, and Denali National Park and Preserve was established. Do you think this area can absorb another century of changes? It may depend on what the next century of change brings - and that is up to us to decide.
