Field School at Cabin Camps of Prince William Forest Park
The NPS National Capital Region partnered with the College of Mary Washington to conduct a field school in the summer of 2018, associated with CLI documentation of Cabin Camps 4 and 2 at Prince William Forest Park. Through this two-part field school, possible through a CESU agreement, students gained hands-on experience and a practical understanding of these cultural landscapes.
Part one documented landscape features with photographs and the completion of forms. In part two, the students documented the same landscape features with GPS equipment to produce geo-referenced maps.
