Print showing architect Michael Graves’ scaffolding design for the Washington Monument Restoration Project between 1997 and 2000. It depicts a scene of Washington, D.C., centering the scaffolded Washington Monument, with the Lincoln Memorial, Memorial Bridge, and Potomac River in the foreground, and the United States Capitol and mountains in the background. To the right of the Washington Monument, an easel holds a smaller image of the Washington Monument without scaffolding. At the bottom center, it reads “Washington Monument Scaffolding for Target” with the signature “Graves”. The bottom left corner notes “41/100” to describe the print number in the limited edition collection. The bottom right corner says “’98”.
