Memorandum To: Regional Director, Northeast Region From: Superintendent, Gettysburg Subject: UDC Memorial Dedication I am enclosing a copy of a letter just received from Mrs. Smith of UDC, who did most of the work on the memorial preparations. She is a very fine person to deal with, and I am glad that the Park was able to contribute to a good ceremony last Wednesday. Those present regretted your absence; I hope you will be able to come this way for a look at the DeLue statue before long. Comment on it is wholly favorable, so far as I have heard.
