Artist's statement: As an avid outdoors person, combining artistic processes with environmental inspiration offers infinite opportunities for exploration and discovery as both artist and environmentalist. I love to admire the complex beauty withi n a simple blade of grass. I reduce realistic imagery to shapes and colors and then reconstruct the subject matter. Basic elements and concepts become the foundation to give new form to familiar imagery. In my artwork, I recreate reality - an exquisite freedom.
