Look at the parade ground of a brick fort that is overgrown with trees.

Interior of Fort Pulaski before CCC restoration, 1925. The remains of the lighthouse keeper’s house can be seen on the left. The CCC spent nine years on the island removing trees and restoring the fort to its 19th century appearance, as it is seen today.
