2009 Vernal Fall rock fall
A shattered tree trunk and impact area covered in fresh rock debris at the base of a cliff.
A rock fall from just southeast of Sierra Point and above the John Muir Trail, west of Vernal Fall. Rock debris from the fall was found on the trail including some trail damage, as well as numerous downed oak trees.
