2008 Ledge Trail rock fall
A large boulder rests beside the hard sided cabin that it crashed into. Broken windows, tree branches, and a smashed wall are in the background.
A rock fall occurred from above the Ledge Trail at Glacier Point. Several hard-sided cabins in the immediate vicinity sustained damage from impacts of flyrock and larger particles, including punctured walls and broken windows. Overall at least 25 tent and hard-sided cabins sustained some kind of impact, and 3 hard-sided cabins were totally destroyed.
