27. Judge Neill Bohlinger to Supt. Emery, June 8, 1966
White paper with typed black text and a handwritten signature
Honorable George F. Emery, Superintendent
Gettysburg National Military Park
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania 17325
Dear Mr. Emery:
I beg to advise that subject to your permission, the Arkansas Gettysburg Memorial Commission is preparing to review and accept the monument now being erected in the park honoring the 3rd Arkansas Infantry Confederate States Army.
We would like to start our program at 10:00 o’clock the morning of June the 18th, 1966. I have asked Mr. Probst of Senator McClelland’s office to see what arrangements can be made for some chairs and a speaker’s platform. I will be glad to hear from you with your suggestions in these regards.
Colonel John M. Virden, 6807 East Avenue, Washington D.C., is our field secretary and can fill you in on many of the details of the program that is contemplated.
May I take this occasion to thank your office for the many favors which you have shown our commission and your courtesy when I was at the park some time ago.
Most Sincerely,
Neill Bohlinger
