The dining room at 219 North Delaware Street, another view.
Formal dining room table, with full settings in place. Flower centerpiece. A cabinet contains several Gates/ Wallace and Truman mementos.
When Harry S Truman moved into 219 North Delaware Street, there were several generations of the family living there. During Truman's administration, the house, often called the "Summer White House," was actually owned by Mrs. Truman's mother, Mrs. Madge Gates Wallace. It wasn't until the summer of 1953 that Harry and Bess Wallace Truman owned the home in their names.
