This was Augustus Saint-Gaudens' summer residence from 1885 to 1897 and his permanent home from 1900 until his death in 1907. Shown in the illustration are the visitor center and visitor center trail, the Farragut Monument, Picture Gallery building, New Gallery and Atrium, Bowling Green, Shaw Memorial, Stable and Ice House, Cutting Garden, Adams Memorial, flower garden, Little Studio, Aspect (the house), Ravine Studio, Ravine Trail, Temple, and Blow-Me-Down Trail. At the time L. Kenneth Townsend illustrated the original aerial illustration in 1993/1994, the final Shaw Memorial was being placed and had a protective overhead cover. The cover has since been removed and the memorial is free standing and in its final location as pictured.
