1 of 6 monuments to Indiana. Indicates position taken by 7th Indiana evening July 1, 1863 & held until July 5, 1863, excepting reconnonissance duty to Gettysburg. Located on Culp's Hill summit N of Observation Tower. || Mn base 4'sq w/ incised company name. 2 part shaft, 1st: smooth face & polished excised "Indiana," 2nd: smooth face granite & polished granite inscriptions, state seal, crossed rifles all faces. Pryamid top, missing 1st corps ball apex. All 8'H.
