State Theatre, New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park , 2016.
Photo date unknown. New Bedford's Zeiterion Theatre opened April 2, 1923. The Zeitz Brothers built this strickingly-handsome and opulent movie house of 1,226 seats. The name was changed to State Theatre for a time but has since changed back to its original name, Zeiterion. Today the theatre hosts live entertainment from every genre - theatre, opera, ballet, comedy, music and even movies. Photo: Albert Church Cook.
