Devil's Club

A large patch of plants with tall woody stems topped in large maple-shaped leaves next to a narrow trail in a forest.

Devil's Club is a common plant with large, maple-like leaves covered in thorns that grows in wet areas in the low elevation forests of Mount Rainier. This patch is along Old Mine Trail in the Carbon River area.
