I have for decades been amazed by the work that Ansel Adams did with his large format camera in the Yosemite Valley especially of El Capitan. On my last trip to Yosemite, I wanted to capture El Capitan in the early morning light in black and white from the field across the street. This is a photo of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. It was photographed in black and white in the early morning light. El Capitan in the early morning light is one of the most amazing sites that I have ever seen. At this time of day there are not many people out and the quiet adds to the overall beauty of the light playing on the service of the rock. The black and white photo adds to the sharp contrast between the light side of El Capitan and the “dark” side.
