Pellia Epiphylla in Billings-Kittredge Herbaria

Preserved biological specimen on paper.

"Preserved Specimen On A3 Paper With A Printed Label Identifying It. The Paper Is Mounted On A Larger Cardboard And Covered With Plastic Which Is Sealed To The Board. There Are Three Different Species On This Sheet. The First Is Riccardia Multifida. The Sample Consits Of 6 Small Round Clumps. They Were Collected By Elsie May Kittredge On The Roadside Of The North Ridge Of Mt. Tom On Sept. 13, 1921. Riccardia Is A Member Of The Aneuraceae Family. The Second Species Is Pellia Epiphylla. There Are Two Samples, Both Collected By Kittredge, But With Different Dates And Locations. The First Was Collected On Aug. 8, 1918 On The North Ridge Road Of Mount Tom. The Section Sample Is Labeled 'Pellia Sp. Quechee Gulf. 8-1-19' The Final Species Is Blasia Pusilla. Again There Are Multiple Samples Collected By Kittredge, All With Different Dates And Locations. The Left Sample Is From 'Near The River, Below The Dam, West Woodstock 8/30/22'. The Middle Sample Is From 'Near Middle Gates, Mt. Tom. 9-9-21'. The Final Section Is From A Roadside Ditch On Biscuit Hill And Was Collected On Sept. 9, 1920. Blasia Is A Member Of The Blasiaceae Family."
