On January 19, 2021, President-Elect Joseph R. Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala D. Harris led a memorial service to remember and honor the lives lost to COVID-19 as part of the 59th Presidential Inauguration events. The ceremony took place at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, which was lined with pillars of light.
