Florida $10 Bill
A yellowed bill bearing several illustrations, the number 10, the words "Tallahasee, March 1st, 1862," "The State of Florida will pay to the bearer on demand Ten Dollars," and two cursive signatures.
During the American Civil War, Confederate states often issued their own money. This is a State of Florida $10 bill dated March 1, 1863, and signed by Governor John Milton and Treasurer C. H. Austin. It was gifted to the National Park Service in 1950 by Mrs. Elizabeth A. Manucy.
