Mn to Maj. Gen. Henry Slocum. Indicates position Major General Slocum viewed XII Corps during fighting & manuvering of enemy. Located atop Stevens Knoll. Scuplted by Edward C. Potter. || Mn base 22'x 16'4", 2 part shaft w/bronze tablets E & W sides. Topped w/equestrian statue of Major General Slocum seated to view troops. All 31' 9-1/2" H. Cleaned & waxed. Granite is flaking, beginnings of exfoliation or peeling of stone.
