In the midst of a cacophony of shapes, the half circle of an old metal waterwheel sticking out of the ground commands the initial view. To the right of it, just right of center a straight diagonal line of a broken cistern guides the eye. Water brims and flows over this old concrete form. Regular shapes like these are not often found in nature, and attract the eye. Other signs of human presence are more subtle. Despite the prominence of these forms, plants of the forest floor, larger shrubs, and trees run wild as the swallow, shroud, crack, and reclaim the signs of a human past.
Remains of an old mine slowly being overwhelmed but the reclamation of nature.
