A photo pair showing Human Development and Impacts at Sanctuary River: 1925 to 1956 (estimated)-2010
This photo pair shows two iterations of the park road bridge over the Sanctuary River, near the present day campground. During park road construction the Sanctuary campground was the site of an Alaska Road Commission camp for the road building workers. The bridge was first built in 1925, and then replaced in 1956 with the current bridge, but at a location just to the north. The old bridge's eastern abutments are still visible from the park road today.
Original year: 1925 to 1956 (estimated); Rephoto year: 2010
