Veronica Serpyllifolia (Thyme-Leaved Speedwell) in Billings-Kittredge Herbaria
Preserved biological specimen on paper.
Preserved Specimen On A3 Paper With A Printed Label Identifying It In The Bottom Right Corner. The Paper Is Mounted On A Larger Cardboard And Covered With Plastic Which Is Sealed To The Board. There Are About Six Or Seven Samples On The Page. They All Have A Section Of Roots With Several Stems Extending From Them. Only One Sample Has Only One Stem. Each Stem Has Round Leaves Attached To The Bottom Section And The Top Sections Of The Stems Are Lined With Small Individual Leaves And Seed Structures. A Few Of Them Have Off Shoots, But As The Stems Are Crowded Together And Overlapping, It Is Difficult To Tell. There Is A Group Of Seeds Pasted To The Backing Sheet Next To One Of The Samples. The Individual Samples Are Easy To Distinguish, But It Is More Difficult To See The Individual Stems.
