Fossil Prints Trackway

Five fossilized human footprints uncovered in the gypsum sand. A brush tool is located on the right that is used to carefully reveal the full impression of the footprint.

Tools such as these brushes are commonly used in delicate environments during an excavation. Due to wind patterns and lightweight gypsum sand, researchers must be careful in unveiling the footprints and avoid disrupting the area more than necessary.
