Black and white photograph of five people at an archeological dig
Fort Spokane cellar archeology. Taken May 25, 1985. IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Black and white photograph of five people at an archeological dig. The dig is occurring in a pit below ground level. The visible walls of the pit are made of stacked stone. The ground has been sectioned off into one meter squares by string and pegs. Five people work in the pit, some standing and some kneeling. Shovels, pails, bags, and other tools lay around the dig site. Up at ground level sits a tripod and three parked cars. The larger area is mostly clear except for some trees in the background.
