Teddy-bear cholla cactus (Cylindropuntia bigelovii)

New growth and water drops on a cholla plant.

Be careful when walking around in the park, especially at the Cholla Cactus Garden. Cholla often drop very sharp balls that can easily stick to shoes and clothing. We recommend wearing hiking boots and watching where you walk.
