North Side of Watchman Peak
The steep slope up the north side of Watchman Peak is strewn with rocks.
The Watchman. North side of Watchman Peak, 8013'. Even before the creation of Crater Lake National Park and prior to the historic period, Watchman Peak was used as a lookout. The Watchman Observation Station's location on the peak was ideal for the prompt detection of forest fires.
