Hand-colored photograph of a landscape with a strip of molten lava. Originally a black and white photograph, the image has been colorized post-capture with bright red, orange, and light blue. The forefront of the image is comprised of large rocks and dried lava and has been tinted light orange. In the center of the image, molten lava flows horizontally, stretching from right to left, and has been colored bright red. The lava is travelling at an accelerated rate of speed, as evidenced by blurred lines as it splashes among the rocks. In the background, a dense tree line is seen, partially obstructed by the smoke from the eruption. The tree line and bottom part of the sky are tinted light orange, and the top half of the sky is light blue.
