The First Manassas Virginia Battlefields Marker, Manassas National Battlefield Park, 2015.
Erected in 1928, the First Manassas Virginia Battlefields Marker originally stood to the south of U.S. 29 (Warrenton Turnpike), in the southeast corner of the U.S. 29 and VA Route 234 (Sudley Road) intersection. In the late 1970’s, the Commonwealth of Virginia widened the highway and the marker was moved to its present location, 40 yards northwest of the Stone House.
