Very neat block lettering reads P. Gilmer Breckenridge 1859, etched into El Morro's sandstone rock, with other inscriptions around it.
"Peachy" Gilmer Breckenridge was a member of the "Camel Corps" that passed by El Morro in 1857 and 1859.
