“At a meeting of the Trustees of the Waterloo Cotton Company held at their office in Waterloo on the 8 Nov 1852 Present R P Hunt, Linus Ely John Purdie [Wm] Mercer Amherst Childs Gideon Wells Saml Hendricks On motion of John Purdie seconded by Linus Ely Resolved that the agent of the company be directred to notify each stockholder of this Company of a meeting to be held at the office of the company on Saturday next at 12 o clock A M. on special business of importance – adjourned to meet on Saturday next at 12 o clock AM Wm Mercer secy Recorded”
