Monument contributes to the national significance of the park under NR Criterion A because it represents the national movement among veterans to commemorate Civil War battlefields. || 20' high and 6'9" square at its base, the monument has a two-step base and a pedestal carrying a bronze plaque. Atop the pedestal is a bronze sculpture of a Union soldier carrying the colors. Located on Missionary Ridge.
