124th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Monument
Commemorative monument erected to honor those who served & died during the Battle of Antietam on Sept 17, 1862. Dedicated to the 124th PA Vol Inf, under Col Joseph W Hawley's command.

Structure Number: 99 || 8'h bronze statue of a vol infantryman atop 11.5'h granite pedestal. Statue holds rifle in proper R hand. On pedestal cap is 5 pt star. Rough-dressed 3 tier base w/PA coat of arms on 3rd step. Located at Starke Ave/Old Hagerstown Pike. || Built in 1904 by the State of Pennsylvania and the Survivor's Association; sculpted by Pierre Fietu
