On front of document: "Trumansburg Tomp Co Mch 2nd 53 R P Hunt Esq Dear Sir Yours of Feby 26th was duly recd. It is our custom to buy our goods for nett cash but we do not consider it an object at present to buy any of your muslin at 7 c. Mr Cole, merchant at covert told us he had just bought a Bale of you for 6 1/2 c & that we could buy some at the same price which we should like to do. We have never bought any of your muslin & know but little about it but were induced to write you at the instance of Mr Cole Very Respectfully yours Biggs & Brother” On back of document: "Biggs & Brother 3mo 2nd 53"
