Cruz Bay signs at Virgin Islands National Park in December 2007

These two signs are near the Cruz Bay visitor center on St. John, Virgin Islands (18°19'57"N, 64°47'36.5"W). The text of the historical plaque is as follows: "Stephen Tyng Mather / July 4, 1867 / January 22, 1930 / He laid the foundation of the National Park Service defining and establishing the policies under which its areas shall be developed and conserved unimpaired for future generations. There will never come an end to the good that he has done."
