Letter with envelope addressed to "Columbus Drew Esq: Jacksonville, Florida" from "K.B. Gibbs M.S," written in St. Augustine, Florida, September 27, 1856. Letter written in black ink (now brown & slightly burned into paper) on blue, lined paper. Envelope handmade with same paper, ink, & a red seal made with signet ring (part of seal now missing). Letter 2-1/4 pages & concerns info on history of Florida that Gibbs sending Drew. Contains 2 sheafs copied extracts & 1 page letter marked "private."
