Glacier Features: Icebergs, Bear Glacier

Icebergs from the Bear Glacier (Kenai Fjords National Park, Alaska) take many different forms. The ice appears bright blue because glacier ice crystals scatter short-wave radiation in the same way that particles in the atmosphere scatter light to make the sky appear blue.
