Morning Star Mine, an abandoned open pit gold mine with two large heap leach pads. The mine pit walls are unstable. The waste rock piles are unstable and allowing fine material to eroded into the mine lake. The material in the two heap leach pads are contaminated with cyanide. The material on the pads are also unstable and subject failure.
