Commemorative monument erected to honor those who served & died during the Battle of Antietam on Sept 17, 1862. Dedicated to all of the MA infantrymen, sharpshooters, cavalrymen, and batteries.

Structure Number: 107 || 6' granite in shape of altar ("I")-12'x8'h. Front has recessed center w/bronze state seal; the projecting ends have 2 bronze dedication plaques. Plan view of battle in bronze on back. Located at corner of Rte 65 and Cornfield Ave. || Built between 1890 and 1920 by the State of Massachusetts
