Dryopteris Pittsfordense in Billings-Kittredge Herbaria

Preserved biological specimen on paper.

Preserved Specimen On A3 Paper With A Printed Label Identifying It In The Bottom Right Corner. The Paper Is Mounted On A Larger Cardboard And Covered With Plastic Which Is Sealed To The Board. There Are Two Frond Samples, One Folded At The Stem To Fit On The Page. There Is A Pencil Inscription Under The Label 'Det. By W.R.Maxon'. This Specimen Proves Difficult As It No Longer Has The Species Name Of Pittsfordense (Names After Pittsford, Vt???) But It Is Unknown What The New Name Is.
